Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Tableau Developer with expertise in ETL processes, SQL, and Python. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and supporting data integration processes. This role requires a solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, advanced SQL querying, and Python scripting for data manipulation and automation.
• Technical Skills: Must Have Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. Strong SQL skills with experience in relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc. Proficiency in Python for ETL automation and data manipulation. Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS) and frameworks. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, OLAP cubes, and data modeling. Good to Have Understanding of Big Data/ Pyspark is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tableau Development: Design, develop, and maintain dynamic and interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to meet business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Tableau visualizations. Optimize Tableau workbooks for performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and visualization. Ensure data accuracy and consistency within Tableau dashboards by troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
• ETL Process Management: Design, implement, and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or other target systems. Develop and maintain ETL workflows, ensuring data integrity, performance, and reliability. Automate ETL processes using Python and other scripting languages to streamline data integration and reduce manual intervention. Collaborate with data engineers and architects to align ETL processes with overall data architecture and business requirements.
• SQL Development: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple databases. Develop and maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures. Work with database administrators to ensure optimal performance of database systems.
• Python Scripting: Utilize Python for data manipulation, automation of ETL processes, and integration with Tableau. Develop Python scripts to handle complex data transformations and automate routine tasks. Integrate Python-based analytics and machine learning models with Tableau for advanced data insights.
• Data Modeling & Analysis: Contribute to data modeling efforts to support data warehousing and reporting needs. Perform data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and other team members to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and product owners, to deliver high-quality BI solutions. Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau dashboard usage and best practices. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in Tableau, ETL, SQL, and Python.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer or in a similar BI/analytics role. Strong experience with ETL processes, tools, and best practices. Proficient in SQL with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing performance. Advanced proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation. Experience with data warehousing concepts and data modeling. Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
