Systems Analyst

Position Description
Talented individual is needed to join our dynamic CGI team at Bloomfield, CT!
The tool this team supports is used to create benefit plans to support pricing and benefit summary creation for a health care project.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Support various strategic projects, along with other application initiatives.
• Be responsible for all aspects of software development including requirements gathering, coding, testing, deployment and post-production support.
• Manage priorities and work with limited assistance to complete assigned tasks on time.
• Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and update documentation as necessary.
• Translate Business Requirements into systems functional specifications and system design specifications through documentations such as User Stories and Functional Requirements.
• Write complex queries in Structured Query Language (SQL) for Data Analysis and Reporting
• Understand Benefits Sculpting and Plan Documents Data Model
• Provide systems expertise to system users, business partners, and other internal/external customers including trouble shooting issues, as well as, identifying and correcting inefficiencies.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, both from a business and technology perspective.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 5- 7 years of experience in analysis (business, systems and data), SQL/Script writing, data development, data maneuvering and management and support of IT applications.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio
• Experience working with large data sets in distributed data environments
• Experienced in all phases of business process lifecycle and IT project management
• Solid understanding of technical terminology and concepts such as system integration, enterprise architecture, data migration etc.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis, data integration and data migration techniques
• Experience with analyzing and designing health insurance products and benefit offerings
• Experience in Agile development methodology; Scaled Agile preferred
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel
• Self-motivated and highly professional
• Advanced analytic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Effective interaction with peers, team members and business partners
