System Administrator

Position Description
CGI Global Technology Operations looking for a System Administrator to join our growing team in Tempe, AZ. The successful candidate will provide network administration and support of our large multi-tenant data center.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Respond quickly and effectively to network issues and outages

• Utilize network monitoring tools to pro-actively address capacity, performance, and availability issues before service degradation occurs

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Core understanding of UNIX systems.

• Core understanding of Windows systems.

• Core understanding of networking, load balancing and server clustering.

• Experience working with an Incident Management System (such as BMC Remedy, or Service Now).

• Manage incident/request tickets, and manage to established response and resolution SLAs.

• The ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical material to staff and management at all levels of an organization.

• 1-3 Years of system administration experience in any size environment.

• Candidates must be flexible to work overnight and weekend coverage shifts.
