Position Description

As a Business Analyst, you will use your knowledge, skills, and abilities to solve organizational information challenges and will use your critical thinking skills to identify client requirements and translate those into detailed instructions for your development team to execute. The ideal Business Analyst also has strong writing and communication skills, and is able to build relationships with both their team members and client stakeholders.
You will closely work with business owners/stakeholders to understand their vision, document it and help identifying the priority and business value of the features. You may also work as product owner in an Agile environment to write the user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog grooming and prepare required items to support release/PI planning.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with key project stakeholders to formulate and communicate the business vision, to envision initial requirements, and to scope the project
• Gather high-level requirements (business, functional and technical) using collaborative, face-to-face workshops with the customers, stakeholders and the development team
• Work with stakeholders to translate the requirements into user stories that are understandable by developers
• Work with business owners and development team to bridge the gap in understanding the vision and requirements
• Work as Scrum Master for a cross-functional team
• Help in Domain Modelling, Feature Analysis and Dependency Analysis
• Help prioritizing product backlog
• Conduct planning and review meetings with the team and business stakeholders
• Work with UX Specialist in creating story board to facilitate in vision elaboration
• Facilitate collaboration through helping with stakeholder analysis
• Author and prepare meeting minutes to be distributed to a variety of audiences
• Validate & Verify user stories after implementation by the team, for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts including analysis, reports and user documentation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of work experience as business analyst or product owner in agile environment
- Outstanding verbal and non-verbal communication skills, coupled with strategic thinking skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Expertise in conceptual modeling; ability to see the big picture and envision possible solutions
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to ask strong questions to help the team in better understanding the requirements that may lead to problems
- Excellent working knowledge of Agile Application Lifecycle Management tools like JIRA, Rally etc.
- Strong understanding of various Agile development methodologies
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification

Due to the nature of the government contract , US Citizenship is required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PMI-ACP® Certification
- Experience with Scaled Agile (preferably SAFe) implementations
- SAFe Certified Product Owner
