Position Description:

Role: Sr. Automation Tester - Selenium, Java.
5-7 years - Bangalore

Direct Responsibilities

• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers for resolution.

• Ensure that delivered software meets quality standards and business expectations.

• Automate testing processes where applicable to improve efficiency.

• Guide and support existing automation team to add tests to correct layer of application and ensure the tests stay relevant and optimized.

• Understand the features to be developed and raise relevant queries on timely basis.

• Plan and ensure proper automation coverage for the features.

• Maintain a good ROI on automation efforts.

• Estimations and maintenance of automated quality assurance.

• Perform other testing-related duties as required.

Contributing Responsibilities

• KPI generation for reporting, Project level meetings

• Training and knowledge sharing

• Contribute towards technical initiatives and drive them, wherever applicable

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Experience in Selenium + Java automation framework is must.

• Knowledge of GIT, Bit Bucket

• Hands-on experience on SQL

• Knowledge of CI/CD, Jenkins is an added advantage.

• Knowledge of test management tools is required – JIRA, ALM

• Knowledge on API testing tools like Postman

• Strong Experience in Test Planning & Estimation Knowledge

• Expected to drive releases and work on handling risks early.

• Should have a learning attitude to seamlessly merge with project.

• The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, flexible and a good team player.

• Attention to detail and excellent problem solving and analysis skills.

• Understanding testing principles and practices

• Should have functional Specification Analysis Experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to communicate effectively with IT teams as well as Business Teams.
