Software Test Engineer

Position Description
CGI is looking for a Software Test Engineer for Healthcare Client. Your future duties and responsibilities
A Software Test Engineer creates automation frameworks using development tools that ensure all software features are tested including core functionality, performance and reliability. An STE is responsible for designing test cases and test plans. These test cases and plans are then used, by the STE, to develop comprehensive suites of automation scripts. The Software Test Engineer is also responsible for maintaining and adding to existing automation frameworks, as well as continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression testing.

• Drive automation triangle and integrate with CI/CD tools for continuous validation.

• Act as the conduit between QA and Dev.

• Drive the mentality of quality being owned by the entire team not just the QA team. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

• Total 4+yrs in IT, with 2+ years of experience developing in scripting languages such as Python, Perl or JavaScript.

• Demonstrated experience with software testing methods, such as functional testing, stress testing performance testing, and failure injection.

• Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.

• Demonstrated experience in tools such as Jenkins, git, FitNesse, Selenium, WebDriver or similar open source tools.

• Working experience in Agile SDLC and Continuous Integration.

• Strong understanding of testing and development techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of OS and Database engine internals are a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

• Experience developing in languages such as Java, C++, C, or C#.

• SQL and database testing for data warehouses.
