Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Shipping and Receiving clerk to support the Civil division at DOJ.

This is a full time SCA position that pays $18.05/hr plus $4.48/hr for health and welfare.

Your future duties and responsibilities
1. Be the POC to receive calls from shipping companies, and to schedule the deliveries.
2. Enforce the building management’s rules.
a. Most importantly, lay down supplied Masonite sheets on the floor and the wall along the delivery path.
3. Put trash and recyclables from the deliveries into the appropriate large receptacles in the North Dock.
4. Unpack deliveries down to the item level. (Remove from shipping boxes.)
5. Move items around within the building.
6. Take inventory of the items delivered.
a. A quick item count to report to the Government.
b. Entering the items’ details into an Excel spreadsheet. (Model, serial number, and other pertinent details.)
7. Prepare old items for excessing.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Ability to successfully complete a CGI Background Investigation to include, 50 State
Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks to start employment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance (Moderate Risk
Public Trust) to start employment.
Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 25 lbs.
Must have computer knowledge and experience with Excel.
