SE-System Admin (Linux)

Position Description
Responsible for managing production and non-production environments of mission critical applications in financial sector with very high availability (99.999%).
Environments are deployed on internal intranet (ODSP) with Linux, Solaris, AIX OS.
Experience:
Provide System administration and support for AIX, Solaris and Linux Operating systems including monitoring and troubleshooting.
Install and Configure a pSeries, Oracle Sparc, X86 hardware including HMC, SAN storage and Ethernet switch.
Installation and configuration of IBM VIO server via HMC/virtual HMC on pSeries. Creating and configuring LPARS based on the project requirement.
Installation and upgradation of OS patches and third-party system software as requested by project team.
Fixed and verified the problem resolution in a timely manner, by monitoring and troubleshooting of hardware related problems by working with the vendors.
Install, configure and manage Oracle VM server, Oracle VM manager to create and configure VM’s based on the Project requirement.
Able to install and configure the third-party software like Oracle database, IBM MQ, IBM Websphere, Oracle Weblogic .
Installation and configuration of different flavors of Linux Operating system based on the project requirement.
Skills required:
Fluent english
Proactive approach in identifying and solving issues
Systematic approach, following Infrastructure as Code principle (everything scripted and committed to git)

Your future duties and responsibilities
