Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Senior IT Architect defines and governs the enterprise architecture for large-scale SAP transformation programs across complex landscapes including SAP S/4HANA, cloud platforms, integration layers and enterprise data environments.

·  Define enterprise target architecture for SAP transformation programs

·  Lead architecture governance , including architecture review boards and design authorities

·  Design and evolve hybrid SAP and cloud architectures , including SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP

·  Ensure end-to-end integration architecture across SAP and non-SAP systems (API-first, event-driven)

·  Establish and enforce architecture principles and standards (e.g. Clean Core, Cloud-first, Security-by-design)

·  Advise on and support transformation approaches (Greenfield, Brownfield, Selective Data Transition)

·  Provide strategic and hands-on technical guidance to program leadership and delivery teams

·  Align architecture decisions with business strategy, scalability, security, and cost efficiency

·  Collaborate with enterprise, solution, and platform architects across global teams

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

·  10+ years of experience in enterprise IT architecture , with a strong focus on SAP landscapes

·  Proven experience in global SAP transformation programs , ideally S/4HANA-based

·  Deep expertise in hybrid SAP architectures , including SAP S/4HANA (Public/Private Cloud), SAP BTP, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

·  Strong background in integration architecture , APIs, event-driven designs, and enterprise integration platforms

·  Demonstrated leadership in architecture governance and stakeholder management

·  Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and tools (e.g. TOGAF, LeanIX, Signavio, ArchiMate)

·  Excellent communication and consulting skills, able to translate complex architecture into business value

·  Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus

·  Experience working in international and multicultural environments

·  Relevant certifications (SAP Architecture, TOGAF, Cloud) are highly desirable
