Position Description

It’s an exciting time at CGI as we continue to build out our Emerging Technologies Centre in Gloucester, for which we are recruiting for Research Scientists passionate to help drive innovative technological advances for customers and create ground-breaking novel solutions.
All applicants must be either SC cleared, or minimally eligible for UK Security Clearance. Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Member of CGI’s Emerging Technologies Lab team we are looking for Research Scientists to support our clients, assisting law enforcement agencies to creating novel solutions. This could include undertaking technology evaluations, develop proof of concept mobile capabilities, reverse engineer or write reports on the applicability of a technology to a given problem domain. Further this would entail support the transition of work out of the lab environment into project delivery teams into commercial environment. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The successful candidates will offer a combination of creativity and passion aligned with broad technical ability. The technical background could be from ethical hacker, an individual with an insatiable attitude to developing good engineering skills, likely a solid grounding in theoretical software engineering, able to demonstrate skills such as reverse engineering, mobile development, electronics, Machine and Deep learning and/or data visualisation (for example AR or VR techniques), or any number of other emerging technologies.

The successful candidates must be highly inquisitive, highly creative, allied with a research mentality.
