CGI is currently seeking a Scheduler who has a minimum of 3 years experience in project scheduling and/or project management/coordination, preferably in a consulting/contracting or IT environment, supporting project managers. This role will provide support to the Client Integration team and project teams providing IT services to the clients.

We are seeking an individual who is highly self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Location – Fort McMurray (Preference) or Calgary

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Scheduler on our team, you will be working on managing several small projects/demands within the IT side of the business. This role will require communication and interaction with multiple stakeholders to ensure each demand request is dealt with properly. The Scheduler will also work with Planners and contribute in resource planning, scheduling and maintaining the job plans. If you have experience in SAP GWAS and are excited about continuous learning opportunities we want to hear from you. Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop and maintain the T-1 (1 week), T-2 (4 weeks) to T-X (3, 6 & 12 months) look-ahead schedule
• Participate in planning tasks and supporting planners in coordination of activities. Participate in schedule review and schedule lockdown activities
• Coordinate with project stakeholders in establishing the project schedule and look-ahead schedule
• Adjust work dates of job plans within constraints aligning work to minimize asset downtime and cost
• Validate resource availability
• Maximize utilization through resource leveling for T-1 (1 week) schedule; supply multidisciplinary team with resource forecast
• Balance the maintenance workload based on available resource capacity
• Manage the Scheduling Master Data
• Solicit feedback regarding approved schedule, including in progress and completed
• Provide feedback to relevant teams as required to optimize program plans and for input on job plan quality
• Understand and apply the required standards, all relevant Key Performance Indicators, guidance documents and updates
• Ensure the schedule is kept up to-date
• Assign resources to the schedule based on resource availability and constraints

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Essential Qualifications
• Experience in developing project schedule or job plans
• Understanding resource allocation challenges and how to resolve them
• Knowledge of Schedule compression during changes to the scope
• Identifying impacts to the schedule as a result of the changes
• Identify key milestones in the schedule and report on upcoming milestones to the planners
• Working knowledge of MS Office 2010 suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio
• Strong attention to detail, quality and consistency of data and presentation material
Desired Qualifications
• Independent worker that requires little supervision beyond initial scope expectation
• Aptitude for learning the business process end-to-end and adhering to the Client processes & tools
• Knowledge of SAP Scheduling Tool (ex: GWAS Tool)
• Familiarity with SAP Maintenance & Release modules (M&R)
• Strong knowledge of and demonstrated experience with MS Project 2010 or higher
• Demonstrated analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

• Results-oriented with a strong track record of successful planning and support
• Project Scheduling experience
Education and Certification
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Information Technology/Communications, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years project scheduling experience and/or experience in project management/project coordination
• Project Management principles and concepts
