Project Management Officer – Space unit

Position Description
The position is supporting multiple Space related projects where CGI NL Space is involved in. As the team grows, in order to support these activities, we want to improve our handling of all supporting PMO activities across all our Space projects.
As a Project Management Officer (PMO) you will be a member of the Space Project Control Office (SCO). You will work closely together with PMO team members, Project Managers and department leads.
You will challenge Project Managers and other team members on the effective and consistent use of the CGI and customer specific processes and procedures.
You will support Project Managers on financial health of the project(s), forecasts, risks, resource management, invoicing, time reporting, planning, progress reports and Work Breakdown Structures from a PMO perspective. You actively come up with suggestions for improvement initiatives and tasks.
The PMO is the spider in the web in the cost/schedule control for the project and will report to the Project Managers and Space SCO Lead.

Things you need to have to be successful
Essential qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (HBO or WO) or higher
• Strong communicator, able to support and chase owners of work packages to make sure timelines/planning and cost budget are being met.

Desired qualifications, understanding or also willing to learn if not already knowledgeable of the following areas:
• Proven to be able to work under stress, manage and meet deadlines
• Excellent command of English, speaking and writing
• Technical affinity
• Open to learning and sharing
• Cando mentality and flexible in approach to work
• Works in a structured way
• Efficient
• Used to act autonomously and prioritize based on own judgment understanding status and objectives of project
• Have a nose for new opportunities, e.g. when out of scope items are requested from the client
• Experience with standard Microsoft tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Enjoy helping managers as an administrative professional

The successful candidate must hold a valid EU Personal Security Clearance at the level of SECRET or be able and willing to apply for a Security Clearance.
