Position Description:

CGI is expanding its Space, Defence & Intelligence unit in Canberra and is seeking experienced Agile Project Managers to lead complex Defence and Space initiatives at the forefront of national and international capability.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As an Agile Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex Defence and Space projects, driving outcomes through modern delivery practices and high-performing teams.

You will:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Defence and Space projects using Agile and hybrid methodologies

Facilitate cross-functional teams to deliver incremental value and achieve key milestones

Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and dependencies in dynamic environments

Engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment, transparency, and effective communication

Ensure compliance with Defence governance, security, and quality standards

Act as the primary interface between clients, partners, and delivery teams

Champion Agile principles, fostering a culture of collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement

Contribute to bid activities, strategic planning, and capability development across Defence and Space domains

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Proven experience managing complex projects within Defence, Space, or other secure environments

Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and hybrid project models

Experience working within Defence governance and secure delivery frameworks

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to deliver complex programmes on time and within budget

Relevant Project Management or Agile certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe) preferred

Active NV2 or PV Security Clearance
