Job description

Position Description:

As a Project Control Officer (PCO), you will play a critical role in supporting project managers by overseeing key project components, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance tracking, to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the PCO monitors project performance, identifies potential risks, and implements corrective actions to maintain alignment with organizational goals. You will manage and report on financials, track milestones, and coordinate resources, ensuring that all projects meet established quality standards and adhere to regulatory guidelines. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to analyze and streamline processes.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

* Budget Monitoring and Reporting Track and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are within approved limits, and prepare regular financial reports for stakeholders.

* Schedule Management Develop and monitor project timelines, adjusting schedules as needed to meet project goals and deadlines.

* Risk Identification and Mitigation Identify potential risks that may impact project scope, budget, or timeline and work with project teams to develop mitigation strategies.

* Performance Tracking Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project progress and ensure alignment with objectives.

* Resource Allocation Coordinate and manage project resources, ensuring optimal utilization and addressing any shortages or constraints.

* Document Control Maintain accurate records and documentation for all project activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

* Stakeholder Communication Prepare regular status reports and updates for stakeholders, summarizing project progress, challenges, and upcoming milestones.

* Quality Assurance Ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards, conducting regular reviews and audits as necessary.

* Change Management Support Assist in the implementation of any project changes, updating documentation and communicating adjustments to stakeholders.

* Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams Work closely with various departments, including finance, engineering, and operations, to ensure cohesive project execution and resolve any cross-functional issues.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

* Experience in Project Coordination or Project Management Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, or resources in a project support role is essential.

* Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Ability to assess project data, identify risks or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.

* Proficiency in Project Management Software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar) Essential for creating project schedules, tracking progress, and managing resources effectively.

* Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills Skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating complex project details to stakeholders clearly and concisely.

* Process Improvement and Optimization Collaborated with cross-functional teams to analyze and optimize project processes, identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements to enhance overall project delivery and performance.

* Project Management Expertise Understanding project life cycles, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and best practices to ensure effective project planning and execution.

* Budget and Financial Management Proficient in budgeting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and cost-benefit analysis to ensure projects are completed within budget.

* Risk Management Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks to minimize disruptions and keep projects on track.

* Schedule Management Ability to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that timelines are met and resources are allocated efficiently.

* Data Analysis and Reporting Strong analytical skills to track project performance, assess KPIs, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

* Proficiency in Project Management Software Knowledge of tools like Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other project management and scheduling software for tracking progress and resource management.
