If you do, and you are a talented Performance Tester then we want to hear from you. Our Scottish testing teams are expanding due to exciting new programme wins and expansion on existing projects. We need Performance Testers to join our teams based from our Edinburgh Office. There may also be the need for travel (fully expensed) to work at other CGI offices or client sites.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Performance Tester at CGI you’ll be working on a number of exciting programmes for our clients both in the public and private sectors. Your role will involve all aspects of performance testing, from analysis of results, test planning, performing test scripting (using a variety of tools), test execution, through to producing accurate reporting and documentation. You will also get involved in supporting the wider testing team and this work could involve say helping with Automated Testing for example. This is a great opportunity to join a busy existing testing team in a supportive environment where you can really develop your career through exposure to the variety of work on offer as well as appropriate training and mentoring.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You’ll need to be able to demonstrate solid experience in performance testing gained in a commercial environment. You should ideally come from a technical background with experience of LoadRunner and a keen understanding of networking, databases, and infrastructure architectures for example. You’ll also be adept at using a collection of Test tools for example JMeter and LoadUI. We need people who are adaptable, flexible and have a desire to learn and develop not only technologies they are already familiar with but to also learn and embrace new ones. You’ll naturally have good problem-solving abilities and have excellent communication skills, able to adapt your style when communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences alike. Ideally you will have appropriate technical qualifications to back up your experience e.g. ISTQB test qualifications.
