Payroll Lead (Portugal)

Job description

Position Description:

This position is accountable for the overall management and/or support of the Payroll and Benefits for CGI Business Units with a goal to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. Directing and supervising a team of consultants and specialists, the manager works closely with the Operations team to create trusted relationships as it pertains to Payroll and Benefits. The Manager is responsible for leading, supporting, and training payroll staff including prioritizing workload, providing feedback and addressing and resolving all payroll related issues in a timely and effective matter.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

 Provide leadership to the team (guidance, coaching and supporting);

 Review and ensure accuracy of payroll and of all the tasks done by the team;

 Ensure consistency in payroll policies, procedures, controls and systems across teams;

 Represent payroll to other departments in the Company, as well as to applicable third parties;

 Assist in additional projects related to Payroll/Finance;

 Recruit, select, on-board, manage performance achievement of team members;

 Participate in management meetings to drive information exchange, communicate servicedevelopment and results, promote alignment between teams and guarantee appropriate supervision;

 Support planning and/or implementation of projects and team daily work;

 Engage with senior leadership, team, Clients and Partners for any escalations, problem solving andprocess improvement.
