Position Description
CGI is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to work on the development and maintenance of a new solution to assist financial institutions that will use the Real-Time Payments (RTP) network. RTP is a new national payments system that provides consumers and businesses with the ability to conveniently send and receive immediate funds directly from their accounts at FIs, anytime 24/7/365. The RTP network works in the background, underpinning a financial institution's customer facing systems for services such as bill payment, cash management, P2P, and emergency disbursements, just to name a few.

The client will play a key role in faster payments as a Funding Agent for community banks participating in the RTP network and will participate as an early adopter of the technology. As a Funding Agent the client will fund and manage positions in the RTP network joint account on behalf of its respondent community bank customers. This allows the client to lower the requirements for participation and provide additional features and benefits around settlement and management of customers’ RTP network participation. The client has chosen to work with CGI to develop a one-of-a-kind funding solution that manages the funding for settlement in the RTP network joint account.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The objective of this effort is to develop working software that is production ready for core Funding Agent components. You will lead the development of this new Funding Agent solution. This includes crafting overall solution vision, evaluating technologies and/or alternate approaches, and working with stakeholders to create design approaches.

This includes developing the database, software components that process the key data transmission (Process Funding Agent Reconciliation Report), and development of selected user interface dashboards and screens that display the data.

You will be the lead developer, and establish the technology framework for other developers to follow.

The Funding Agent solution will be developed will tools and technologies that that adhere to the client’s Development Standards, and the CGI All Payments technology stack. Core technologies used are:

• .NET (C#).

• SQL Server 2016

• Integration technologies to exchange data with the RTP Network

o IBM MQ

o IBM Connect:Direct

o VPN Connectivity between the client and the RTP Network

o XML

You will use your knowledge of technologies, development strategies and development best-practices to move the product forward. You will need strong collaborative skills, an innovative mindset and be able to work and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to continually ensure the solution is of the highest quality.

You will also:

• Work closely with the customer. Collaborate with the product owners and designers and drive toward rapid solution development and innovation.

• Continuously identify and escalate any risks to the solution, quality, and delivery commitments so they can be acted upon in a timely manner.

• Participate in quality validation exercises, including assessment reviews and/or exploratory testing efforts to continuously keep a pulse on quality and identify areas for adjustment early in the process.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The ideal candidate will have experience architecting and developing new solutions from the ground up.

3+ years of experience in Data Integration between systems (IBM MQ, IBM Connect:Direct, VPN, Integration Services, Web Services, XML, .NET Framework)

5+ years of application development and implementation experience

5+ years of C#.NET experience

5+ years of relational database experience

5+ years designing, architecting and implementing solutions.

3+ years of experience MS SQL server experience

3+ years of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning

Experience in Oauth, SAML, experience with SSO systems/applications (shared token auth)

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements

Ability to meet or exceed business goals and objectives, while fostering a team atmosphere

Knowledge and understanding of application life-cycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support

Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: development, testing, tools, and techniques
