Position Description
Let's build a career! CGI Federal is looking for a .Net Developer to work be a part of a team that is tasked with supporting an Army Maintenance System based out of the Ft. Bragg area.
The Programmer role provides technical development and programming support for the Logistics Database Analysis Tool. The programmer will partner with database, functional and systems analysts on a suite of client/server and web-enabled platforms. The programmer will also perform other supporting tasks as needed and be responsible for programming new software requirements on hosted platforms (i.e. JavaScript, VB.Net, ASP.Net, C# and Colf Fusion) Your future duties and responsibilities
- Resolve application related issues
- Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency
- Conduct peer review of code
- Translate detailed design into computer software
- Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product
- Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user level documentation
- Provide technical direction to programmers as required to ensure program deadlines are met
- Develop new processes and applications as needed Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum of three years experience in programming, preferably web development
- Hands on web development experience in VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, or ColdFusion with Oracle or SQL Server database backend
- Ability to fluently read, write and speak the English language
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with Applications & Systems Development Life Cycle

-Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server or Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with C#
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to remain focused on delivering high-quality results on schedule
- Ability to document technical design clearly and effectively
- Active experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to create project milestone documents that are achievable
