Position Description:
Within GTS, the Middleware group (MDM) is responsible for the administration, support, and integration of middleware platforms used by enterprise applications. The team oversees the design, installation, configuration, upgrades, and application integration of middleware platforms.
More specifically, the Post-Trade Middleware team within MDM provides messaging solutions and support for Back-Office operations processing and batch workloads. The team supports middleware infrastructures and applications across North and South America (United States, Canada, South America).
Your future duties and responsibilities:
-Design and install IBM MQ and/or RabbitMQ environments
-Deploy enterprise applications and ensure their proper installation and configuration
-Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support to applications and development teams
-Produce technical documentation, track and resolve incidents, analyze recurring issues, and propose sustainable solutions
-Participate in and potentially lead projects aimed at implementing or enhancing development services and automated solutions
-Work closely with business and IT teams to design reliable, cost-effective solutions that meet complex requirements
-Recommend and design new technological solutions (hardware and software) and produce associated documentation
-Deliver assignments within established deadlines, standards, and guidelines
-Evaluate new technologies to meet evolving business needs
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, as the position involves regular collaboration with international colleagues and partners.
What You Will Bring to the Team
-2 to 5 years of experience with IBM MQ (design, installation, patching, migration, and configuration)
-Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills on middleware platforms
-Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading middleware platforms
-Strong analytical mindset and debugging skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
-Proficiency in Python
-Knowledge of microservices development
-Experience in a high-frequency trading environment
-Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, etc.)
-Experience designing and architecting middleware application platforms
Knowledge of Cloud Computing practices
-Experience with tools/platforms such as JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, Elasticsearch, and AWS
-Knowledge of REST API development

-Strong customer orientation and service mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, users, and cross-functional teams
-Autonomous, team-oriented, and comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders to successfully deliver projects
Detail-oriented, rigorous, and results-driven
-Ability to interact with business lines, managers, technical teams, and senior leadership
-Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Education Requirements
-Minimum Bachelor’s degree (3–4 years) in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
