Position Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Middleware Administrator to join our IT Operations team. This role is responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and support of middleware technologies supporting business-critical applications. The Middleware Administrator will ensure high availability, performance, and security of the middleware environment while participating in automation and continuous improvement efforts.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, OpenLiberty, and WildFly.
• Provide L2 support for middleware operations and collaborate with engineering teams on L3 issues.
• Monitor the performance and availability of middleware components and tune them for optimal performance.
• Perform routine patching and upgrades to ensure compliance and system stability.
• Support application deployment processes and assist development teams with middleware requirements.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, installation guides, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident resolution activities.
• Identify opportunities for automation and contribute to scripting/configuration efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in middleware administration in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, OpenLiberty, or WildFly.
• Proficiency in Linux-based environments.
• Basic understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 or higher).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and working with ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
• Experience with secure system configurations and compliance standards.
