Java Groovy Developer

Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Groovy Developer with strong experience in Java development and Groovy scripting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable applications, writing efficient scripts, and integrating backend services. The role involves working with modern frameworks, RESTful APIs, and databases while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Groovy.
Write and maintain Groovy scripts to automate processes and support application functionality.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services.
Work with Spring / Spring Boot frameworks to build scalable applications.
Design and optimize database queries and SQL operations.
Follow Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns.
Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams for application delivery.
Maintain code quality using version control systems such as Git.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in development and production environments.
Participate in code reviews and agile development practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must Have Skills

2–3 years of hands-on experience in Java development
Strong experience with Groovy scripting
Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
Experience with Spring / Spring Boot frameworks
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
Experience with SQL databases
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems

Good to Have Skills

Experience with microservices architecture
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with Docker or containerization technologies
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
