Position Description:

We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45+ years, we're still growing! Join Canada's largest IT Company as a Java Developer, in our Financial Services Sector in Toronto.

Location - Downtown Toronto (Hybrid - 4 days office and 1 day remote) subject to change at any time.

We are looking for an Intermediate Java Developer with solid hands-on experience in Java application development and mandatory exposure to trade or trading-related systems. The role involves building and enhancing APIs, supporting microservices, and contributing to system stability and automation.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Develop and maintain applications using Java, SpringBoot, REST APIs, Microservices.
. Support coding, unit testing, debugging, and production issue resolution.
. Work on trade-related workflows such as externally traded funds, order processing, settlements, and downstream system integrations.
. Contribute to microservices development in Pivotal Cloud Foundry and integrate with Kafka.
. Participate in CI/CD setup and pipeline enhancements.
. Collaborate with senior developers and business teams to translate requirements into technical tasks.
. Assist with deployments and ensure timely resolution of vulnerabilities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Experience: 4–7 years
Mandatory: Trade / Trading Systems Experience -
Experience working in trade/trading systems (funds, trades, settlements, investment workflows).
. Strong experience in Java, SpringBoot, RESTful services, Microservices.
. Exposure to PCF, Azure, Kafka, Oracle/MS SQL.
. Good knowledge of unit testing (JUnit, Mockito).
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/Maven).
. Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
. Exposure to automation tools or workflow engines (e.g., Xceptor) is a plus.

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
