Infrastructure Automation Engineer -TS/SCI with Polygraph

Position Description
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI Federal! CGI is seeking a Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support our Customer in Reston, VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities
This role provides technical expertise with automating infrastructure provisioning and deactivation with on-premises infrastructure and cloud infrastructure including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) resources. This role performs scripting and software development using industry leading automation such as CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, and/or Puppet. Flexible cross-training to also provide systems engineering, software development, training, security, and testing is also desired. This includes software tools and scripting languages used for design, development and maintenance of on-premises and cloud infrastructure and platforms. This role is responsible for identifying software and hardware dependencies and capacities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
•Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.
•Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
•Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
•Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
•Experience with monitoring systems
•Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
•Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
•Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
