Informatica Performance Test Engineer

Position Description
CGI is seeking a highly motivated Informatica Performance Test Engineer to work in a team environment and with all the best practices and processes followed to execute the project!. Your future duties and responsibilities
Overall 6 + years IT experience with minimum of 4+ years into performance testing experience in a data warehousing environments, familiarity with ETL architectures, leveraging multiple sources (including MDM), Oracle databases..

The candidate should have a deep understanding of Informatica, SQL’s leveraging Oracle as a data warehouse.

Primary Skillset - Informatica Power center 9.1 or Informatica 10.1, Rally, XML, CSV, HTML, Scripting Language (Shell scripting or Unix scripting or Python), Oracle, SQL, TOAD, ESP scheduling, Materialized Views, Golden Gate, CDC process, Agile process. Nice to have - Quick Test Professional (QTP), HP Quality Center(QC), Healthcare experience, Hadoop, Mongo DB

Primary responsibilities as an ETL Informatica Performance Engineer/tester includes:

• Should lead and drive the implementation of tuning across the Application Development and IT Operations (Database, ETL, and Sever administration) teams

• Should be able to write test strategies, test planning, and test reporting.

• Should organize and conduct the Performance, Volume, and Stress (PVS) testing for different applications and should act as liaison between different integrated teams.

• Should perform performance tuning of high volume operational data stores, and large transaction based data processing with data partitioning.

• Should involve in SQL tuning, and run time improvements.

• Responsible to organize and execute the required performance tests and provide the necessary approvals, recommendations for the assets being tested.

• Should be able to build the test environments and to create test plans, and test scripts.

• Should assist development projects for performance testing prior to release into production, and work with project teams to coordinate and support scheduling of performance testing.

• Execution of Load Tests, Soak Test and Scalability Tests

• Help with performance test Monitoring & Analysis

• Support end to end Performance Testing Lifecycle Management

• Identify Performance bottlenecks and provide recommendation for optimizing the code

• Very good communication skills

• Nice to have Healthcare domain experience

• Informatica/DW technologies knowledge

• SQL Querying knowledge – Intermediate to Advanced

• Agile experience

• Experience in information management, data warehousing and analytics technologies is required.

• Should have good communication skills. Team Oriented and can work independently.

• Should have good written and oral communication skills. Documenting the performance tuning needs.

• Experience in Pre-sales, Architecting proactive solutions, supporting clients with value-adds.

• Responsible for leading the teams from end-to-end application standpoint.

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

• Agile experience – at least 2+ years

• Forward thinking, independent, creative, self-sufficient and go-getter; who can work with less documentation, has exposure working as a performance engineer/tester in complex multi-tiered integrated applications.
