Hybrid ADF (ETL) Developers

Position Description:

This hybrid role requires presence at our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge St) and/or client location at least 2 days per week, subject to change.

We are seeking an experienced ADF (ETL) developers to design, develop, and maintain robust data integration and transformation solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF). The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Azure cloud data services, ensuring data pipelines are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business and analytics needs.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Develop and maintain data flows, pipelines, and orchestrations to support analytics and reporting
• Work with Azure SQL databases and related data services for ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Implement data integration best practices, including monitoring and error handling in production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, business analysts, DevOps professionals) to align data solutions with business objectives
• Participate in code reviews, deployment processes, and DevOps pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Ensure data security, quality, and compliance with organizational standards

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Solid understanding of the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Data Lake, Synapse, Key Vault)
• Experience with Azure SQL Server databases, including writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD integration and pipeline automation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment

• Exposure to data warehousing or BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Knowledge of data governance and metadata management concepts
