If you do then join us as a Ground Segment Design Authority working in our UK Space team. With over 36 years in the industry, CGI Space is a rapidly growing business with exciting projects and prospects across the Navigation, Earth Observation and Satcoms domains. We are currently developing key safety and security features for one of our clients systems that will provide the satellite-based controller/pilot datalink required to support future air traffic management communications. These enhanced systems will undergo rigorous validation and verification tests to assure that safety and security requirements are met, before entering further rounds of flight trials in 2017 onwards. Your future duties and responsibilities
You will be working closely with the overall Technical Authority on all aspects of the Ground Segment Design, ensuring that development and test activities are aligned with the design. You will be capable of picking up new concepts, working to high standards of quality and to agreed timescales. Your responsibilities will include updating design documentation to take account of new requirements and leading design workshops with clients and other relevant parties Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will have a proven track record of producing technical specifications, excellent client-facing and communication skills and be able to provide technical leadership.
You will also have experience of communications systems and be able to design network security barriers
Experience of network protocols, e.g. OSI, IPv4/IPv6 and air traffic management (ATN/ACARS), Cryptographic / Security experience, e.g. firewalls, PKI and knowledge of system safety principles would be highly beneficial
