Position Description:

We are looking for a Financial and Business Intelligence analyst for our Global Shared Services team. The candidate will work in a team of young dynamic professionals located in corporate offices, down town Montreal. The selected candidate will have a key role in supporting the analysis and development of internal reports and maintenance of the financial analysis tool of the company.
She or he will benefit of a challenging work environment, being in constant contact with different teams (TI, Finances, Corporate) and representatives of the different business units around the globe. Evolving into a context of fast growth, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1) BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE REPORTING SUPPORT & ANALYSIS
o Develop knowledge of the Diver Business Intelligence tool and participate to change request specifications, testing and implementation in collaboration with the Business Analysts of the technical support team;
o Participate, as needed, in the implementation of an upgrade to the Financial System and replacement of the reporting tool (2018);
o Analyze and propose improvements for the current reports and procedures;
2) QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR THE REVENUE RECOGNITION PROCESS
o Produce and analyse reports for identifying non-recognized items in order to resolve them and prevent recurring issues;
o Support the Revenue Recognition process monitoring and performance;
3) FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING ANALYSIS
o Take care of requests for information and questions made by internal users of the reporting, accounting and financial systems (AP, AR, Billing, WIP, Revenues, etc)
o Analyze diverse profitability, efficiency and financial reports as well as their composing items and transactions in order to detect errors and propose corrections;
o Make sure that the transactions of the ERP system are adequate and that they respect the pre-established guidelines.

Desired profile

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor degree with specialization in Business Intelligence, Accounting or Finance
Professional certification in Accounting is an asset
2-3 years of relevant experience
Bilingual English and French (spoken and written)
Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of an ERP system is an asset, Programming skills and database analysis (VBA, SQL) is an asset
Deeply developed analysis, problem resolution and synthesis abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Able to work under pressure and to respect deadlines
