Position Description

Come and join us an Electronic Warfare Operational Support (EWOS) Solution Architect.

CGI’s Defence & Intelligence business supports multiple government agencies in delivering their varied missions with the common aim of protecting UK interests at both home and abroad. To further develop our capabilities in this sector, we are looking for Architects to work alongside our clients within a flexible resource team on a range of client projects, in particular with strong emphasis on the EW and wider SIGINT domains

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Provide the bridge between business need and the supporting technology, building a
holistic view of the organisation and trusting relationships with the client
• Advise on technology enabled business transformation and define IT strategy,
requirements, solutions and road-maps that deliver the business objectives in the most
cost effective manner
• Architect and select solutions, shaping programmes, developing and embedding new
capability within the client organisation.
• Assess business and technology problems examining classic scope and feasibility
questions
• Building strategic relationships with the IT community and propagating the architectural
journey
• Programme portfolio planning and development of road-maps for business transformation
programmes
• Architecture and software solution governance and providing delivery assurance and support
to bid and delivery teams throughout the project life-cycle
• Architecture definition and design, including delivery approaches

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You should also be able to demonstrate proven experience and capability as a successful solution architect within a secure environment including:

• Lead the solution design activities of technically complex programmes
• Information management and or application development activities in the Electronic Warfare
Operational Support or wider SIGINT business domains
• Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels (internal and external)
• Good presentation skills to articulate ideas at a level of abstraction appropriate to the
audience.
• Ability to design solutions that involves the integration of COTS and bespoke development
Ability to lead and operate within international teams
• Leadership of technical proposal development including the development of accurate delivery
estimates.
• Hold SC level clearance and have architect experience on classified programmes
(including SECRET).
