Driver/Courier

Position Description
CGI is looking for a dependable and professional Driver/Courier to support on of their government clients on a Mission Support Services contract in Falls Church, VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The driver will operate various types of Government-furnished motor vehicles, transport time-sensitive items to various locations within the Washington metropolitan area, or transfer supplies, furniture, equipment, etc.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must have a valid State operator's permit for the type of vehicle being operated and a proven safe driving record as established by the National Driver Register or equivalent check, both of which the Contractor shall provide proof. The Driver shall also provide appropriate liability insurance, and equip each Driver with maps of the Washington metropolitan area and a communications "beeper." A Driver must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have good reading and communications skills, the ability to print clearly, general knowledge of the USPS and proper handling of incoming and outgoing mail, general familiarity with distribution schedules and routes, the ability to pay close attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others. All Government-furnished motor vehicles must be operated in accordance with 41 CFR, Chapter 101, Subpart 101-38.3, Official Use of Government Motor Vehicles.
