We are seeking a Director Consulting Expert (DCE) – Data and AI to lead strategic transformation engagements across data modernisation, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics. In this senior leadership role, you will guide our clients through the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data and AI strategies—translating business vision into data-driven outcomes that create measurable value.

The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in data strategy, AI/ML platforms, and enterprise analytics with strong business acumen and executive advisory capability. As a trusted partner to senior executives, you will articulate CGI’s perspective on how data and AI can reshape organisations, improve decision-making, and enable intelligent operations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Lead enterprise-scale data and AI transformation programs, encompassing strategy, architecture, governance, and delivery.
. Advise C-suite and senior executives on leveraging data and AI to drive operational excellence, innovation, and new business models.
. Exceptional skills in Proposal development, SoW development and tender/bid responses.
. Develop and implement enterprise data strategies including data mesh, data fabric, governance, MDM, and ethical AI frameworks.
. Shape and deliver AI and ML initiatives, such as predictive analytics, generative AI adoption, automation, and intelligent decision support.
. Support business development by identifying opportunities to expand CGI's Data and AI footprint across industries.
. Create and present thought leadership—whitepapers, frameworks, and client briefings—on emerging trends such as generative AI, responsible AI, and data democratisation.
. Mentor and coach CGI consultants, developing future leaders in data science, analytics, and AI engineering.
. Collaborate across CGI's global network to align local delivery with global best practices in Data and AI innovation.
. Foster a culture of experimentation, curiosity, and continuous learning, promoting data literacy across the business.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Recognised as a leader in the field by alliance partners, including but not limited to AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake and GCP.
. Proven experience leading enterprise data and AI transformation programs (e.g., data platform modernisation, AI/ML initiatives, analytics strategy).
. Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering, governance, and cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake and GCP).
. Expertise in AI technologies and frameworks (e.g., machine learning, NLP, computer vision, GenAI platforms).
. Demonstrated success advising senior executives and influencing strategic decision-making through data insights.
. Excellent business development and client relationship management skills, with a track record of growth in consulting engagements.
. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
. Relevant certifications in Data, AI, or Cloud.
. Experience with data ethics, AI governance, and regulatory compliance is advantageous, especially in regulated industries such as Financial Services.
