Data Quality Analyst

Position Description
CGI is seeking to hire a Data Quality Analyst for a large Big Data Project in Hartford CT.

The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for representing the interest of the business in assessing data quality across the enterprise. The Data Quality Analyst will partner with IS and appropriate Domain Data Steward(s) to identify data sources and perform data quality assessments and help formulate mitigation plans where necessary. Ideal candidate will be very comfortable collaborating closely with technical and non-technical roles such as data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards and SMEs to help build data quality metrics perform root cause analysis and help establish data quality standards. Your future duties and responsibilities
• Identify metrics and measurements for data quality scorecards
• Profile data for Data Quality assessment
• Develop, propose, and contribute to implementation of data quality improvement processes
• Develop objects within data quality tools for cleansing, de-duplicating, and other data preparation
• Conduct root cause analysis; present findings and proposed improvement solutions
• Ensure appropriate stakeholders are involved in initiatives to obtain needed information, maintaining the
• highest level of data quality throughout the organization
• Contribute to establishing standards for data quality, usage, and definitions through tooling and scorecards
• Elicit and document data requirements; aligning with business requirements
• Collaborate in identifying system connectivity points with project conversion and competency center teams
• Elicit and document business, technical and operational metadata from a variety of Costco systems
• Drive discussions and decisions with technical data teams to produce solutions that will impact database
• models, data architecture designs, etc. based on profiling and data assessment
• Follow standard SDLC practices including exhaustive documentation Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience with tooling related to conducting data analysis (SQL, Toad, etc.)
• Experience and/or demonstrated ability to pick up new software skills in a minimum time frame
• Must be well versed in Software Development Lifecycle including coding standards, version management etc.
• Must possess excellent analysis and data logic skills
• Experience in developing scorecards, dashboards and Data Quality mappings
• Experience with Data Quality tools, such as SAP Business Objects Suite (Data Services, Information Steward)
• Must possess the ability to collaborate and effectively engage with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Must have proven ability to manage priorities and timelines plus excellent communication skills
• Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills
