As a Data Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex data initiatives — spanning data engineering, modelling, testing, and analytics — that underpin our clients’ digital transformation journeys.

You’ll be at the intersection of technology and business, ensuring our clients realise tangible value from their data investments while aligning with CGI’s standards of excellence in governance, delivery, and collaboration.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of data and analytics initiatives — from initial shaping and planning through to deployment and handover into BAU.
• Coordinate and support teams of Data Engineers, Modellers and Test Analysts to deliver high-quality, value-driven outcomes.
• Apply agile and hybrid delivery practices within CGI’s delivery framework to ensure consistency, quality and transparency.
• Act as a key connection point between technical teams and client stakeholders, translating complex concepts into clear, meaningful business insights.
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, scope and measures of success.
• Manage project budgets, risks, timelines and dependencies across multiple concurrent streams.
• Support the development of our data capability by mentoring team members and promoting a culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Champion the use of modern data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, SQL Server) to deliver scalable, efficient solutions.
• Identify opportunities to uplift delivery efficiency, data quality and governance, and contribute to pre-sales and proposal work as needed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Essential:
• Experience delivering data or analytics projects in consulting, IT services or enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of the data delivery lifecycle, including ingestion, transformation, modelling and testing.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data ecosystems — ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Demonstrated capability in project and stakeholder management, including oversight of budgets, schedules and risk.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams within agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills across both business and technical audiences

Desirable:
• Prior consulting experience or exposure to client-facing delivery.
• Background in data engineering, BI or analytics.
• Certifications such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, PMP or Scrum Master.
• Experience with data governance or data quality frameworks.
