Position Description

CGI require a Data Architect to join our busy team in Glasgow to establish baseline architecture and a reference model. You will be aiding a high profile client to establish direction and work with the client to define and agree a data strategy and roadmap. Your future duties and responsibilities
As the sole Data Architect you will be responsible for defining the client’s data strategy and roadmap. This will also include working on the project roadmap to ensure that the data strategy is progressed. You will provide support and technical design governance in both a waterfall and agile environment to ensure alignment with strategy and standards. This will include providing guidance and knowledge to the various project delivery teams.

There is an expectation that where projects have a strong data requirement, you as the data architect will be primary architect on those projects, but can also provide flexibility to cover other architecture domains

Supporting other proposal responses, with solutions for data architecture will also be a responsibility of the Data Architect.

Ensuring that the project teams and client are fully aligned with all Data related legislation and standards such as GDPR is a key element of this role. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
There are a range of different data challenges, and so the ideal person for this role will have quite a broad skill set around data architecture. As you will be joining a relatively new environment, you will be expected to hit the ground running, and quickly be able to make the environment your own.

This role requires an individual who has demonstrable experience of working in a delivery focused environment, where stakeholder management is key.

Experience of providing reference models, data quality, MI reporting, Master Data Management and Data Lineage is important. You will also ideally have experience of working in data integration projects.

A good understanding of IOT is important, as is good knowledge of GDPR and its implications.

Although this role is predominantly based in Glasgow, a flexible attitude towards travel is essential to this role, as you may be required to work in different locations from time to time. Build your career with us.
