Correspondence Management Analyst I for CRM

Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Correspondence Management Analyst I to support the Criminal division of DOJ in Washington DC.

The Correspondence Analyst develops, enforces, and supervises the application of all federal criminal laws, except those specifically assigned to other divisions of the Department. The mission of the Correspondence Staff is to process all controlled and citizen’s mail received by the Criminal Division. The Criminal Division receives and processes thousands of pieces of controlled and citizen mails each year, which require the staff to review, assign and draft appropriate responses.

Your future duties and responsibilities
•Reviews all controlled and citizens correspondence received in the Criminal Division, Office of Administration.
•Serves as a point of contact for internal and external components regarding policy, procedure, and handling of correspondence as it relates to the Criminal Division, Department of Justice.
•Directs, assigns, and tracks correspondence to the appropriate Federal employees within the Division for prompt responses. Issues coordination requirements for preparing or reviewing correspondence among the Department’s components; trains and distributes documentation on enhancements made to the Correspondence Management System and maintains CMU webpage.
•Reviews, analyze, and determines appropriate response is generated.
•Is responsible for proofreading outgoing response letters generated from the unit and/or components.
•Responsible for taking citizen phone calls as well as managing paper and electronic records.
•Assists sections/offices in ongoing records activities including; the maintenance of disposition schedules and the opening, closing and disposition of closed files.
•Assist with record searches for Division or components.
•Maintains, evaluates, and recommends form letters, also ensure correct version is utilized.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
-Experience with FOIA required
• 1-3 years of experience in correspondence or related field
• Ability to successfully complete a CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks
• Must possess an active Secret or Top Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Justice Modified Risk Public Trust waiver
• U.S. Citizenship
• Strong personal computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to perform as a member of a team

•High School diploma or equivalent
