Communications Associate

Position Description
The Associate – Communications coordinates activities, resources, equipment and information to ensure the successful execution of communications programs and events. In addition to supporting the Business Partner in the successful execution of the communications strategy across the Asia-Pacific GDCoE, the Associate is responsible for organizing on-site resources to support the execution of communications requirements for the SEA business unit leader.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Copywriting and editing responsibilities
• Write CGI-branded articles and materials based on bullet point briefs and instructions
• Analyze briefs or drafts provided and pinpoint any missing information required
• Coordinate any additional information required directly with contacts to complete the task
• Copyedit provided drafts for both structure and readability
• Simplify messages to ensure it is clear, concise and appropriate for CGI and its members
• Understand basic formatting for Microsoft Word and Outlook to support direct input to newsletters
• Use the correct for formatting, grammar and spelling appropriate to the country
• Double check details such as links used in write-ups to ensure that no broken links are encountered, in addition to dates and times for events
• Coordinate and chase appropriate contacts for approvals for articles and materials
• Transcribe videos as required

Event responsibilities
• Support event requirements such as coordinating with appropriate providers to book, reschedule or cancel large-event calls attended by members.
• Action on pre-event activities such as sending out of invites, and monitoring registration
• Action on post-event activities such as session surveys and feedback forms
• Actively track bookings for calls and coordinate with finance teams and the relevant team when clarifications for booking charges are required.
• Monitor non-human mailboxes for queries and route them to the appropriate contact person for responses

Intranet and workspace support responsibilities
• Set up workspace surveys or lists as per requirements
• Update and/or create pages in CynerGI or workspaces
• Format news articles and workspace pages
• Publish CynerGI news articles with correct information and as per required timelines which is dependent on announcement type, territory and country.
• Coordinate with the Intranet Support team for unavailable functionality as required

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Minimum of 0 - 2 years of experience in a corporate setting under a marketing or communications capacity
• Preferably a graduate of Organizational Communication, Creative Writing, or Marketing
• Excellent English skills, both verbal and written
• Creative writing experience with excellent grammar.
• Ability to capture, collate and distil information into clear and concise summaries, identifying key points and presenting the information in a way that engages and informs the audience.
• Awareness of various communication methods and channels and the ability to effectively utilize them.
• Capability and interest in planning, organizing and executing all aspects of communication initiatives and events.
• Organized with a keen eye for detail
