Position Description:

CGI is looking to hire a talented COBOL Software Developer to support the development and maintenance of our ongoing projects. As a member of our team, you will be involved in various project activities, including both functional and technical analysis.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Analyze functional specifications and help translate them into technical designs.
• Estimate development and testing efforts, and follow established development environment rules.
• Develop, configure, test, and document software components in line with project standards.
• Ensure compliance with architecture, security, and quality guidelines.
• Define and execute unit and performance tests to validate deliverables.
• Provide third-level support, including incident resolution and troubleshooting.
• Maintain clear project documentation and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proven experience with COBOL development, including CICS, DB2, and JCL in a mainframe environment.
• Familiarity with job scheduling tools, preferably CTRL-M.
• Strong understanding of mainframe systems and architecture is mandatory.
• Proficiency in French is required or considered a strong asset, depending on project needs.
