Cloud DevOps Engineer - Campus Recruiting

Position Description
This is a pivotal role to assist in the development and transformation of systems leveraging an Automation / DevOps model. Areas of work will include the development of automation, monitoring (alerting/logging), deployment and continuous integration working closely with our Infrastructure teams and business partners.

The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, able to multi task, can work independently and is a team performer. You should also have a proactive approach to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Work in Agile, collaborative environment to build, deploy, configure, and maintain systems, which may include software installations, updates, and core services.
• Work with development teams to enable a continuous integration environment that sustains high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques.
• Automate and optimize processes, using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Chef Puppet, and Docker.
• Design and implement tools for automated deployment and monitoring of multiple environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test and production instances.
• Solve problems; debug design & implementing solutions to complex technical problems.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Skills Required:
• Must have basic knowledge in one of the following technical areas:
o DevOps on AWS, AZURE
o Unix/Linux systems
o Automation/configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
o CI/CD (Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo, Git, etc.)
o Coding and scripting languages (Ruby, Python, shell, etc.)

Education Requirements
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
