Cable Installer (part-time, on-call)

Position Description
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI. CGI is seeking an experienced Cable Installer to support operations at our Ft. Huachuca, AZ location. This is a part-time, on-call, supporting the cable installation team when the size of the cable installation requires more personnel to accomplish the task. Your future duties and responsibilities
Follow instructions of the cable team lead to carry, pull and install communication cable.
Carry and move required equipment such as ladders and cable where required. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
A high school diploma OR GED AND 2 years' directly related experience are required.
Must be able to climb ladders.
May involve underground work.
Must be able to pay attention to detail.
Must be able to carry items up to 50 pounds.
Previous experience installing different types of cabling.

Possession of a Secret security clearance is required to begin employment.
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.

Desired qualifications:
Enclosed workspace certificate a plus.

Physical Demands:
Certain operations may require the individual to lift and move cabling and equipment of approximately 50 lbs in weight. The individual must be able to perform duties in extreme weather (dusty, arid, high and low temperature). Position may require bending, kneeling, or crawling to get to cables under and behind stationary objects.

Work Environment:
Outdoor work may be required in austere conditions (dusty, extreme heat or cold). Certain operations may require 24 hour support. Accordingly, individuals may be assigned to work during non-routine shifts, and other duties as required. At CGI, we’re a team of builders.
