Business Analyst, Banking industry

Position Description
We have an immediate position for a Business Analyst (BA) to help with the acquisition and the implementation of capital equipment. Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Business Analyst will be involved with a broad variety of tasks needed to complete the key deliverables within a tight timeframe.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Banking Industry such as

Payments with wholesale and retail payments background to support the Payments modernization initiative or

Payment/banking industry, with Fraud, AML/ATF and KYC experience; including 3 lines of defense supporting risk framework

Your future duties and responsibilities
Facilitate, capture and present information on business requirements

Facilitate definition of IT services to be delivered by operations teams to business and technical stakeholders

Identify alternatives and propose recommendations for equipment, system and process changes to meet business requirements, including an assessment of the impact of current policies

Lead the detailed analysis and preparation of recommendations that demonstrate the necessary justification for capital and non-capital investment and changes to processes, practices, policies, custody requirements, and infrastructure changes

Lead the preparation of program and project documentation and deliverables

Write & plan various test plans and activities for capital purchases such as Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing

Play a key role in project activities and deliverables that require coordination, collaboration and communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Work with other members of the team and subject-matter experts to identify gaps/opportunities and play a liaison role with partners when appropriate

Provide advice and expertise in all phases of resulting projects to implement the required solution

Effective writing skills reaching into both technical and business topics

Maintain and manage a prioritized table of initiative requirements

Create / refine business process maps and associated documentation as needed

Support activities to gain client agreement and approval for documented requirements, processes, and operational implementation documentation

Provide guidance and clarification / support to the solution delivery team regarding the business requirements.

Create / assist with the creation of End User documentation and associated End User training

Assist with QA & UAT testing ensuring the solution addresses the business requirements

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Relevant university or college degree (e.g., information technology, project management, business analysis) with between six and eight years of relevant work experience

Experience in gathering & documenting business requirements

Experience in Business Process Analysis

Experience in cost estimation and financial analysis

Facilitation skills

Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio tools

Experience in supporting multiple projects concurrently

Experience with using Requirements capturing tools
