Position Description
Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of subject matter in Application Development. Possesses sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop simple application solutions. Second Level professional with direct impact on result and outcome Your future duties and responsibilities
• Determine the business needs through reading, documentation and interactive sessions with clients and provide solutions in the form of new or enhanced IT applications.
• Use business process and tools to capture and analyze requirements.
• Design business processes and procedures.
• Formally document findings and present proposed solutions to clients. Client documentation would include screen mockups, data maps ( the specific form to be contingent upon the source and purpose of data), Use Cases and report mockups providing information relevant to filtering and aggregation.
• Write high level functional specifications.
• Prepare and maintain project deliverables according to CGI's ISO certified processes.
• Play a lead role in the development of business requirements and their documentation.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities whether associated with a single project or different tasks on different projects/enhancements
• Assist in sizing, resource estimates, scope and requirements for a variety of projects.
• Facilitate trainings/ workshops. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Skills:
• US Health Care Industry experience/exposure.
• Ability to elicit and document business requirements
• Ability to distinguish between functional and nonfunctional requirements
• Ability to translate business requirements into more technical requirements bridging the gap between business and system requirements; Ability to complete data profiling and gaps analysis at a relatively simple level
• Ability to create and execute Component Integration Test Plans/Scripts (where appropriate) based upon the technical requirements
• Ability to understand/capture logical progression/flow of business activities as they relate to a process or group of processes
• Ability to support Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing including defect triaging; exposure to ALM would be an asset
• Ability to communicate up and down the SDLC management chain using multiple techniques independent of location (ie. onsite or remote)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Oracle SQL query experience preferred although exposure to SQL Server and/or DB2 with corresponding query experience has also proven beneficial for some candidates;
• Familiarity with TOAD and/or SQL Developer would be considered an asset
