Banking and Payments Business Analyst
Be part of something dynamic! We are looking for Banking and Payments Business Analysts based in our London office to work within our UK Banking and Finance markets business unit. In our Banking & Financial Markets we work with the leading tier 1 and 2 names in the market, as well as the emerging challenger banks in the UK looking to utilise our cloud technology, agile development and leading digital customer propositions to shake up banking in the UK for our customers. We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals who are able to combine market insight with technology expertise, and are passionate about offering creative and innovative solutions for our clients. We need Analysts who understand how business processes work and how they are influenced by the environment around them.
There may be the need for some occasional travel to other parts of the UK which would be fully expensed. You must already hold, or be eligible to hold, the appropriate level of UK Security Clearance to be considered. Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Banking & Payments Business Analyst at CGI you will work across business and IT change projects across our UK client base. In your role you will build upon your knowledge of the payments schemes, underlying technologies and the wealth of regulatory change facing the payments industry. You will work closely with your clients on fast paced, high end consulting engagements as well as being a member of larger CGI teams delivering banking IT transformation programmes. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will have strong experience in either business analysis or technical solution design, ideally gained in a consultancy or retail banking environment.
You should have a sound knowledge of at least three of the following;
Payments (mobile, International payments, cash management, and reconciliation management)
Payments schemes (BACS, CHAPS, FPS, SWIFT etc.
Payments related regulation: PSD2, Open Banking)
Regulatory Reporting Risk - Credit, Operations, Liquidity, Financial and/or market Basel II or Basel III,
Compliance (AML, KYC ,Sanctions, PEPs)
Operations (Clearing & Settlement)
Financial product management
You must also be able to demonstrate experience of tackling and improving poorly defined requirements, dealing with complex issues that require simplification for technical and non-technical stakeholders and have contributed to technical solution and architectural design. This is a demanding role so experience in managing conflicting or disparate stakeholders is essential. You will be familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
