Position Description
One of our key critical IT infrastructure programmes, employing over 100 of our UK consultants, is looking for Automation Testers to join their Gloucester based teams developing truly Enterprise scale Cloud infrastructure solutions. We are one of the few programmes within the UK that develop infrastructures at such scale and complexity.

Our Testers work in a supportive team environment, where initiative and continuous technical development is encouraged.

Whatever your current level of experience, the technical breadth of the programme offers the ability to extend and deepen your technical and client facing skills, where training is delivered through a combination of mentoring, on-line and classroom based courses via our technical partners.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance, or be eligible to go through this clearance.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Our operating model is to work with new client requirements to design, build and test virtualised environments, and thereafter to provide a ‘business as usual’ service to maintain and enhance the delivered business critical systems.

You will be responsible for the full test life-cycle, creating test data, executing test scenarios, producing test reports, and contributing to defect investigations.
We test cloud infrastructure solutions, and you will be responsible for leveraging our test automation frameworks wherever this is efficient to do so.
Our automation testers will also have the opportunity to be involved in engineering activities associated with the design and implementation of our infrastructure solutions

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will have an excellent understanding of cloud computing concepts and have ISTQB Foundation qualification. You will have experience of the full test lifecycle management and used supporting test tools such as Jira and/or HP ALM. You will have experience of developing test automation across the technologies detailed below.

You will have experience of test automation tools such as:
• Robot Framework
• Jenkins
• Ansible
• Puppet
• Selenium
• Cucumber
• JMeter
You will have test scripting skills in languages such as:
• Python
• Java
• JavaScript
• Powershell
• Bash

You will have sysadmin experience in one of
• Microsoft Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019
• RedHat / CentOS Linux 7+
