Position Description

One of our key critical IT infrastructure programmes, employing over 100 of our UK consultants, is looking for Software Engineers to join their busy, Gloucester based teams Your future duties and responsibilities
With your strong scripting skills you will be delivering support systems and administration for technically complex multiple server implementations. You will be involved in task automation using configuration management tool-sets as well and analysing and resolving technical issues on a broad range of systems Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will have knowledge of at least two operating systems such as Unix (Linux/Redhat/Centos/Solaris) and Windows (Server 2008/12 R2, AD, DCHP, DNS). You should have an excellent understanding of the Cloud as well as Virtualisation technologies and you will be able to automate through the use of Powershell/Bash/Perl/Python/JavaScript/Jenkins/Puppet

The environment you will be working in also includes Cisco UCS rack mounted servers, Apache, SQL, PHP, Nagios, HP Openview, Tivoli and Netbackup

Due to the Secure nature of the programme and client, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance for the role. If you do not hold this level of clearance currently you must be eligible and be prepared to go through this clearance. You should note that current Higher Level Clearance (DV) can take up to 12 months to be granted and will need to be in place prior to you starting work with us At CGI, we’re a team of builders.
