Army Logistics/Database Administrator

Position Description
CGI Federal has an immediate opportunity to support US Army logistics operations via database administration support for a custom application using a distributed database architecture. Position will include both application development and operations support environments. Individual should have at least intermediate SQL skills with experience supporting production databases and servers in a Windows environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Database centric helpdesk support
• Database analysis, design and maintenance
• Database performance monitoring, backup and recovery operations
• Database synchronization monitoring and troubleshooting
• Development and execution of queries/scripts to facilitate input and output of data
• Analysis and execution of reference data updates
• Administration and support of external data interfaces

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required. This position also requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance. Current Active Security Clearance highly preferred.

• Minimum intermediate SQL skills.
• Experience with administration of relational databases.
• Familiarity with RDBMS (preferably Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere).
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
• Ability to plan and prioritize own work.
• Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment.
• Ability to obtain Security+ and/or MCSA certifications.
• Be Drug Free.

Desired Qualifications:
• Preference for individual with Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere experience.
• Active security clearance preferred
• Working knowledge of US Army Property Accountability procedures desired.
• Experience with Windows PowerShell scripting language desired
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is strongly desired.
• Ability to deploy/travel to support exercises or contingencies as required
