Telecoms Application Support Analyst

Position Description
Be part of something rewarding and join CGI’s growing Telecommunications business. We seek individuals with experience of managing complex OSS and BSS applications, both COTS and bespoke. This role can be based in CGI’s London, Reading or Leatherhead offices. Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Telecommunications Application Support Analyst at CGI you will be required to understand the context of the application estate including how the applications support key Telecommunications business processes, as well as how applications interact with each other and the underlying infrastructure. You will be required to respond to incidents, analyse the impact and progress incidents to a satisfactory resolution interacting with resolver groups in infrastructure teams, development teams and the wider support community as necessary. Your role may also include using a range of monitoring tools to detect potential issues with Applications which could impact customer service, and design automated processes to resolve these promptly in line with ITIL processes. You will also be required to carry out RCA and develop and present specific improvement recommendations which will reduce incident volume. Creating and implementing CSI initiatives which will deliver improvements to the client's service as well as reducing CGIs cost to deliver capability will be part of the role too. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Experience of supporting applications in the Telco’s industry would be beneficial but not essential. A solid understanding of domain specific standards is important. Previous experience of providing support for OSS and BSS Applications is important, both for COTS and bespoke systems.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to work well within a team whilst remaining organised with their own work, have the ability to deliver to agreed schedules and report progress under supervision. You will enjoy sharing knowledge with your team, and can also team lead or deputise sub teams when required.

You must be able to demonstrate a positive, professional demeanour and have the ability to deliver clear, accurate and timely SLA metrics. A demonstrable record of analysing issues and identifying suitable solutions or workarounds is key.
