Job description

Job Purpose and Summary

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner for the on-going transformation of our Consumer Imaging finance management systems. This role is offered on a 12 month contract, and will be at the heart of Canon's European business transformation.

The purpose of the Sales & Business Planning project is to transform the CIG (Consumer Imaging Group) processes and systems to provide better visibility and control of the business and enable Canon to fulfil its strategy through a new culture of trust and empowerment.

The project deployed Demantra solution for commercial budgeting in October 2014 across EU18. We are now focusing on finalizing the design/ build/ test of the Demantra system using sprint/agile methodology and driving business transformation activities for investment management.

Due to the scale of business transformation involved, we are looking for highly driven people to support the validation of the IT systems (as part of the design/build/test stream) and business transformation activities (change management, adoption, training, user support as part of steam).

The role of the Business Transformation Product Owner will be to drive the design, build and test stream of the project from a business perspective to ensure that the systems fulfil the needs of the business.

Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Represent the CIG business from an end-to-end perspective within the project, acting as subject matter expert and providing business requirements and feedback to the project to ensure that the deliverables meet the needs of the business.

2. Own and prioritize the product backlog, signing off business requirements, deciding on what should be implemented in the upcoming sprints, working closely with Scrum Master and relevant stakeholders within the project and business.

3. Provide consultancy to the Business Deployment Lead and the business in general regarding the functionality of the system and how it relates and impacts business processes and business deployment activities.

4. Provide consultancy to the business in developing the needed business processes to ensure that the system is used to its full potential.

5. Steer and contribute in the development of test scenarios and provide acceptance/sign-off of UAT on behalf of the business stakeholders.

6. Provide consultancy on business deployment and aligning the design/build/test stream with business deployment stream.

7. Conduct knowledge transfer and training to drive the adoption of the Demantra system across the business in Europe, acting as a change agent.

8. Contribute to project related tasks and other ad-hoc activities are required.

Essential Requirements e.g. skills, knowledge, experience required:

1. Strong background in Finance and commercial planning, and significant finance experience in an international organisation.

2. Experienced with finance systems (Oracle ERP) and trade promotion management systems

3. Experience with databases and IT systems in a large international enterprise

4. Knowledge of Canon Consumer Imaging finance (have the knowledge, or the ability to quickly learn), commercial model and systems incl. Demantra TPM is an advantage

5. Experience in process development and change management

6. Relevant university degree or equivalent.

7. Fluency in English, other European languages advantageous.
