Job Purpose and Summary

The opportunity has arisen at Canon Europe Ltd for a Product Sales Development Professional to work within the Emerging Markets Business Unit (EMBU), focussing on B2C products - in particular inkjet and laser printers, scanners, consumables, calculators, etc - collectively known as Office Personal Products (OPP).

The main purpose of this role will be to assist and support in the implementation of regional sales, channel sales and product sales through a mutual marketing strategy that recognises the specific needs of different customers and channels, and seeks to maximise the opportunity from each segment. You will be responsible for communicating and aligning customer needs with product management to assist in achieving the overall financial objectives for Product Group and Sales Retail B2C.

·  Responsible (by area) for the creation, revision and monitoring of budgets and forecasts by handling risks and opportunities.
·  To work with each regional sales organisation to achieve the sales budget for OPP products in line with the sales and marketing strategy.
·  To liaise directly with product management to ensure appropriate resources are available to achieve sales budget, support local business request.
·  To liaise with supply chain to ensure the latest sales demand is taken into consideration to determine the production of stock to maximise sales whilst maintaining sufficient level of stock holding in line with Company’s KPI.
·  Development of effective reporting of sales results and related information.
·  To ensure that all RSO Sales and Marketing teams are in possession of relevant marketing and support materials to allow for the effective launch, promotion and phase out of Canon products.
·  Research, collate and gather marketing intelligence on relevant competitors and market developments, analyse and report.
·  Carry out regional, national and customer profitability analysis
·  Identify and prioritise segments based upon the business opportunity
·  Assist in the development of value propositions for targeted business areas and products and segments
·  Manage and lead specific assigned business projects

Your success in this role will be measured against:

·  Sales targets achievement
·  Markets performance (Mash targets, specific growth projects…)
·  Alignment with overall business planning schedule
·  Communication level with key stakeholders

·  Higher Vocational or University education
·  Must have experience as a product manager or experience of liaising between product management, product marketing and sales departments
·  Ability to create/interpret/manipulate complex Excel spreadsheets (intermediate/advanced level)
·  Must demonstrate advanced planning skills
·  Excellent English language skills – other relevant languages desirable
·  Some travelling required to local markets to strengthen communication links and make sure countries are following strategy and achieving targets
·  Sales or Marketing experience in consumer electronics is desired but not a must
·  Experience of budget management is a plus but not a must
·  Prior experience in multicultural environment preferred
