LOCAL INSPECTOR REQUIRED: The inspector is responsible for performing Quality Assurance inspections on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client and will certify that the inspected wheels and/or axles are in compliance with the applicable AAR stpecifications, and Client's drawings and specifications. Certification will be made at the point of manufacture, prior to shipment. All inspections, tests and examinations required by the specifications will be made and documented in such a manner to allow tracability by field auditors or technical personnel. The clients for these assignments are typically regional transit agencies. It is preferrred that the inspector have significant knowledge of the AAR Specifications and rail car shop equipment and demonstrable experience in a similar position. The inspector must be able to produce clear, complete and comprehensive reports as part of his duties.

Experience in providing quality assurance inspection related to the manufacture of wheels and axles for rail cars. Familiarity with AAR standards and rail transit providers
