Role: IT Service Desk Analyst (undergraduate placement year)

Location: Didsbury, Manchester

Salary : up to £17,000 plus excellentbenefits package

This is your chance to join a dynamic IT Service Desk team and play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues for all of Bureau Veritas’ UK and North West Europe users.

ROLE PURPOSE

We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic undergraduate to join a team of 6 on our busy and thriving IT Service Desk, devoted to troubleshooting and resolving IT issues in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

With a focus on delivering excellent service to our internal stakeholders, your day to day duties make up an essential part of our business operations. Responsibilities will include:

· Acting as the First Point of Contact for all IT related user queries and information requests.
· Providing Incident and Request support to End user environment for office as well as remote / field based users across North West Europe covering several divisions.
· Processing new starter, leaver and change requests for users.
· Dealing with all levels of staff, and the management and escalation of tickets to other IT and IS resolver groups across the globe.
· Assisting in post roll-out support.
· Major incident communications and coordination for North West Europe.
· Access management.

ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT A FUTURE IT CAREER?

Candidate Requirements include:

· A passion for and affinity with IT
· Be studying either an IT or Business Management Degree (or have relevant other work experience)
· Customer Service Experience in a business environment would be beneficial, but not essential
· Excellent written/oral English language skills
· Able to prioritise work load and work as part of a team
· Able to work to deadlines (SLAs)
· Demonstrable problem solving skills
· Excellent attention to detail
