Graduate Design Verification Engineer

Due to continued growth in our North Sea Offshore Operations business, Bureau Veritas is recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our busy Equipment Certification and Package Compliance team in Aberdeen. This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering graduate to join a busy and established technical team, providing supportto clients ensuring the initial suitability and performance of their assets and installations including design appraisal, examination and assessment through all phases of the asset life cycle.

Main duties of the role include:

· Technical review of type approval, independent design review certificates and design appraisals
· Providingclear and concise technical reports in line with BV reporting guidelines
· Prepare quotes and tenders up to £5k
· Ongoing onshore / offshore examinations and assessments for offshore installations such as FPSOs, platforms, semi-submersibles and subsea
· Surveys, examinations, maintenance / inspection reviews and technical audits onshore / offshore against Performance Standards and International Standards or Client Specifications

This is an excellent role for developing technical knowledge and understanding of regulatory engineering requirements in the offshore Oil and Gas industry across a range of projects and clients. Candidates should be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, with a passion of offshore safety and a keen eye for detail. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work simultaneously for multiple projects and clients involving varied technical challenges.
